I was playing with Photoshop & some photos I found using Google Images, to make a wallpaper with the theme Africa. I made it for a friend, but there's no harm to share it with the world, I guess :-) Enjoy! This new category will be the micro-blogging corner on Gettin' Geek. Expect short personal thoughts, rants, quotes, cool song lyrics; in English or other languages. Usually this kind of stuff is displayed in my MSN status messages, but a status message is lost once replaced. Better to share & archive them here. I had a similar idea a while ago, thought of making a post that I update from time to time with new thoughts. But inspired by the micro-blogging idea made popular by Twitter, I finally did it this way.

I'm not a Twitter fan & still don't see a personal use for it. I decided though, for one of the websites I manage, to follow the webmasters trend & endow the site with a Twitter button. I needed two things: a Twitter bird & the font used in the Twitter logo. For the button, I took the image from the About Twitter page & traced it in Adobe Illustrator, then colorized it the way I wanted. For the font, I googled & found not the exact font, but one similar in this Japanese website . The font is called TwitterU.
